Subaltern 03:00
I don't speak for you What you want is out there somewhere Time's a-wasting, don't complain Just walk away New narratives are emerging That you didn't think exist What was once invisible Five fingers became a fist It's the dark side of the coin And it's spinning in the air Whichever way it lands That voice will always be there We will rewrite history Right now I'm taking down a record D'you recall the events of the 20th century? We were drip-fed people's memories But now I've got the means, I've seen the facts Using devices made in Chinese factories by families Tell their story Fuck the royalty New narratives are emerging That you didn't know were there It's the dark side of the coin And it's spinning in the air Whichever way it lands They will always exist What was once invisible Five fingers became a fist

Goobax 03:15
This was the wrong place at one time A car from Sofia I didn't work that hard And what are my entitlements? You can't predict how long you have to live There are voices in the forests down beneath What are their intentions? We must presume malevolence Sitting in the counties Comforted and critical No ordeals endured Or sacrifices made You can't predict just what you'll have to give There are voices in the capital forcing your decisions What are their intentions? We must presume malevolence This was the wrong place at one time The cars, they come from everywhere Building blocks of wrath Something for their families You can't predict how long you have to live There are open mouths in the forests out somewhere What are their intentions? We must presume malevolence

Outnumbered 03:16
Why try to recreate a feeling Goals etched into my notepad The sole task of spoiling all the seasons Good reasons outnumbered by the bad From Argentina down to Hiroshima Souls are searching for a meaning Stop, drop and gave up all we had The good days outnumbered by the bad Kind acts given at random Stand up because you know you should Such events happen in tandem Bad men outnumbered by the good Keen minds cannot be satiated Only loyal to what is true And anger like the poll tax created Old facts outdated by the new Why try to recreate a feeling Goals etched into my notepad The sole task of spoiling all the seasons Good reasons outnumbered by the bad

Fever Dream 03:07
A cold sweat soaking the sheets Hallucinations on repeat Has my subconscious come to find me Shadow at the foot of the staircase Say I'm fine but it's a barefaced lie I'm using to persuade myself What if all the plans I made come to nothing What if I don't gain the respect of those I will never meet Am I so far from the real life A leaf held in my fingers Something to calm the nerves Before I start to drift away again Memory duller than this pain A small step from the train That takes you away from my platform What if all the plans I made come to nothing What if I don't gain the respect of those I will never meet Am I so far from the real life What if all the plans I made come to nothing What if I don't gain the respect of those I will never meet When did I get lost from the real life

Quintessence of science is doubt, why'd it take two days to work this out? Understanding comes from mistakes so does it matter if I fail? Epiphanies won't come, what if I haven't won the fight against my Superstitous minds? where do they find the time To teach a fictional account? Can we survive without it? Interrogate your mind. What do you think you'll find Outside in daylight? Never even find the time to shave inside this study now.

Field Mouse 02:44
A little field mouse took a duck and a grouse As a travelling companion on a trip down south The took a freight train heading full steam And didn't stop 'til they got to New Orleans Tambourine! Take it double time! I've seen you crossing the car park I want to meet in the city after dark I made you a little bracelet charm I want you walking on my arm, hey! A little field mouse took a duck and a grouse As a travelling companion on a trip down south The took a freight train heading full steam And didn't stop 'til they got to New Orleans, woo! Bring in the kazoos! Now gimme some o' that sweet synth Stella ella ola Say es chico chico Chico chico cha cha The toilet overflows Say one, two, three, four five, six, seven, eight Nine, ten, eleven, twelve Thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen! Take it to the bridge! Huh Damn straight No bring it all the way back I think it's time for some ukelele Rock the glock Stella ella ola Say es chico chico Chico chico cha cha The toilet overflows Say one, two, three, four five, six, seven, eight, nine I've seen you crossing the car park I want to meet in the city after dark I made you a little bracelet charm I want you walking on my arm, hey!

September 02:34
I get bored so soon I'll have to leave So don't waste your time with me, I will forget you It meant so much one day but now You just distract me from whatever my attention has found OOOoooooOOOooooOOooOOOh A hand-me-down-mattress on a hand-me-down bed Trees showing off the leaves they're about to shed A hand-me-down-mattress on a hand-me-down bed Some pieces of me missing So many love songs, never been in love Tentatively share the things that I've covered up So many love songs, never been in love Some pieces of me missing Some pieces of me missing I'll take whatever heat remains Not much I'll do about it now I'll take whatever heat remains Not much I'll do about it now I get bored so soon I'll have to leave So don't waste your time with me, I will forget you September's disappearing fast You're just distraction from whatever was hoping would last OOOoooooOOOooooOOooOOOh A hand-me-down-mattress on a hand-me-down bed Trees showing off the leaves they're about to shed A hand-me-down-mattress on a hand-me-down bed Some pieces of me missing Some pieces of me missing So many love songs, never been in love Tentatively share the things that I've covered up So many love songs, never been in love Some pieces of me missing Some pieces of me missing Some pieces of me missing So many love songs, never been in love So many love songs, never been in love So many love songs, never been in love Some pieces of me missing

Won't you stay, show me a smile I'm going away for a while More than a day, further than a mile Tell me when you'll come back I can't rely on you to come fly with me Around the world, I won't slow down, girl I can't wait for anybody, I've got the money If you ain't saved up you can eat my dust Everybody's invited, it's a rare sighting To see me sat at home without writing Once the verse is laid I'm on my way Out the door to the next place, if it's exciting I only heard what I wanted to And it wasn't in line with the facts I told you this question's rhetorical No I don't want an answer to that We can meet up in Madrid And talk about the things you did I'll admit I'm afraid to ask About the things in your past I only heard what I wanted to And it wasn't in line with the facts I told you this question's rhetorical No I don't want an answer to that

All the things I don't want to do Walk up to you and the secrets started flowing Committed to a humble page I'll never save something fragile as a notebook I'm walking the streets and it's late at night And the only thing I can think is "fuck" You're on your own You don't know if help will come. All the things you didn't say You made my day, a small reward for being brave Too soon I would forget and do what's easy I'd laugh and curse, it never made me happy I step off the train and it pulls away The ticket falls from my hand and falls down onto the tracks You're on your own You don't know if help will come. Every day you'll have to work Or something worse, There's someone knocking at my door What did you say? You saw it first? Nobody cares and you'll never get to keep it Unless you came to change our minds Lay down your guns 'cause you'll never need to use them And every time you run and hide Who's there to judge if you win or losing You're on your own You don't know if help will come.

Fixes Itself 03:34
A bitten apple drips down my fingers There's no drops from the cumulonimbus Expecting the call I know you'll blow me out again Machines become non-functional Everything breaks with no help from me They don't self-heal, don't self-repair No, nothing ever fixes itself Pay lip service to pretend that you care If I took action as much as I prepared I'll keep my appointment For the times when we used to be friends Machines become non-functional Everything breaks with no help from me They don't self-heal, don't self-repair No, nothing ever fixes itself

The war on television was lost so I Acquiesced so quietly Bring myself up to speed To be immune from spoilers Supermarket aisles are the new arcades I watched you waste away Why wait until tomorrow When you can buy today Come one, come all to the average circus I'm little more than a maverick worker bee No entry fee, don't know what you'll get But the show sure as hell ain't free So come to the average circus We spend time gathering purposes To live our lives with no direction 'Cause somebody else drives I hadn't even opened my eyes By the time you pulled back the shower curtain In a minute I heard the car door slam I knew for certain We would return by 6pm And fall down on the bed With your shoes more broken in And do it all again Come one, come all to the average circus I'm more than a maverick worker bee No entry fee, don't know what you'll get But the show sure as hell ain't free So come to the average circus We spend time gathering purposes To live our lives with no direction 'Cause somebody else drives

about

These songs were originally going to be part of a double album along with the 3 EPs released between 2014 and 2015. Instead, we decided to make a separate album, but it can be considered a sister-piece to the 12 tracks that made up the preceding EPs.
